Sarah Childress is the deputy editor for long-term investigations at The Washington Post. Previously, she contributed to multiple award-winning documentaries, podcasts and digital investigations as the series senior editor at "Frontline," the PBS series. Childress began her career as a national reporter for Newsweek, where she covered the Iraq War. She then spent several years as a staff correspondent for the Wall Street Journal based in Nairobi, Kenya. She joined The Post in 2022, and she teaches investigative journalism at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
