Renata Brito is a Brazilian multi-format journalist with the Associated Press based in Barcelona who has reported extensively on migration to Europe and the impact of border policies on human rights across continents. Over her decade at AP Brito has also covered the war in Ukraine, the COVID-19 pandemic in both Spain and her native Brazil, the independence movement in Catalonia and violent crime in Rio de Janeiro. In 2021 Renata was named Young Talent of the Year at the Royal Television Society Journalism Awards.
