Bora Erden is a reporter focusing on new technologies for investigative journalism at The New York Times. His work complements traditional reporting techniques with emerging digital methods, such as open-source research, geospatial analysis, 3D reconstruction, and computer vision. Past projects includes investigating the destruction of Mariupol, atrocities committed by ISIS in Iraq, and police repression of Black Lives Matter protests. He holds a B.S. in Cognitive Science and a M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
