Yvonne Latty is a professor at Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication and the Director of the Logan Center for Urban Investigative Reporting. The center’s focus is community based investigative reporting driven by empathy and with a focus on solutions journalism. The center’s multimedia investigative work has won over two dozen local, regional and national awards including a national Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Podcast. She started her career in newspapers, but has since written two books featuring the stories of veterans, produced award-winning documentaries and podcasts. Previously she served as a journalism professor and multimedia graduate director at New York University’s Arthur Carter Journalism Institute.
