Nina Martin

Nina Martin (she/her) is a reporter and editor for the Center for Investigative Reporting (Mother Jones/Reveal), specializing in reproductive and gender issues. She has help staff positions at a variety of other media outlets, including ProPublica, San Francisco and Health magazines, the Washington Post, the International Herald Tribune, and BabyCenter. Her “Lost Mothers” project with NPR (2017-2019), examining maternal mortality in the U.S., led to major changes in maternal health policy at the federal, state and provider levels. Honors include the Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting, the National Academy of Sciences Keck Futures Award, a National Magazine Award, a Peabody, and two Polks. She is based in Berkeley CA.
