Caroline Kitchener is an investigative reporter at The New York Times, where she recently started a new beat on the American family — and how the Trump administration is trying to reshape it. Before starting at The Times in April, she covered abortion at The Washington Post, winning the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting for her coverage of the fall of Roe v. Wade. She has covered issues related to women and gender for her entire career. Her nonfiction book, “Post Grad: Five Women and Their First Year Out of College,” follows the lives of five women in their first year after their college graduation.
