Sasha Schell is an investigative reporter and documentary filmmaker from Berkeley, California. He is a supervising reporter at Berkeley Journalism’s Investigative Reporting Program and Human Rights Center at UC Berkeley where he manages the open-source investigations course. His work blends traditional reporting methods with digital tools to tackle stories at the intersection of environment and globe spanning supply chains. His most recent work is centered on land conflict surrounding agriculture in the Brazilian Amazon. Prior to his open-source environmental work, Sasha worked as an assistant producer for a PBS FRONTLINE documentary series investigating conflicts in Syria and Afghanistan with Rain Media.
